PAST

Growing up in Wisconsin, (Gotta represent the midwest!), was a defining experience for me. The people and culture of the area instilled in me a strong work ethic and a sense of small-town community that I carry with me today. At the age of 22, I made the decision to join the army. This was a significant turning point in my life and allowed me to develop skills and discipline that have stayed with me. Serving my country has given me a sense of pride and purpose, and this is also where I met my ex-husband. This was a challenging time for me because although extremely rewarding in some aspects, it was also the darkest time in my life.

From the age of 25-31, my life was an absolute mess. I have two beautiful sons that were adopted out to family members because of a bad decision I made to follow my ex into the world of addiction. This road led to a deep depression and many rough experiences that have shaped me into the person I am today. Now I am an advocate for recovery from addiction, I am passionate about helping veterans, and I am more determined and dedicated to a healthy lifestyle than I ever imagined. My work ethic is unmatched, and I am always looking for the next leadership opportunity to help make the world a better place.

My Lifestyle now is one I am extremely proud of. I am a current student at the University of Arizona in pursuit of my bachelor's degree in applied computing with an emphasis in Management Information Systems. I am also in the process of completing a certificate in Cloud Computing, Data Analysis, and Database Engineering. I have many different passions when it comes to education, and I feel like I want to learn a little about everything!

My life outside of work and school is filled with growth and personal development. I train for bodybuilding competitions and live an overall healthy and active lifestyle. I enjoy reading as much as possible and traveling with my mother. I volunteer to help veterans and advocate for those that are struggling with addiction. I personally understand the difficulties of turning your life around after some bad decisions, so I strive to help others navigate a healthy world. I am extremely passionate about education, leadership, growth opportunities, and being a kind human being. Laughter and optimism are my therapy.

PRESENT

FUTURE

I have a future! I have plans! I have goals!

Those words aren't something I was always able to say or even think. But my life now has afforded me an extremely positive outlook and a future to plan for. I am currently an intern as a tech support analyst at US Foods for the summer of 2023, and I hope that will open doors and opportunities for a prosperous future in IT. I enjoy data analytics and working with databases in particular, but I am very open to many growth opportunities. I will continue to look for opportunities to be mentored and to mentor individuals in the future in the field of starting life over. I know the struggles that come with a lingering background and am passionate about helping people with their future.

I plan on buying a house in Wisconsin as well as Arizona because I love both places. I have a 5-year goal of buying one house and a ten-year goal of buying both. I plan to continue my education by pursuing my Master's degree in information systems after I complete my bachelor's. I will then have an amazing career in IT and make a difference in the world. I will also be traveling as much as possible.
